Movement disorders are a rapidly growing field of neurology<\/strong>. Among the most common movement disorders including Parkinson’s Disease, Dystonia, Spasticity, Tremor and Chorea.<\/p>\n The number of patients with movement disorders will rise sharply in the coming years due to the aging population. IAB Academy is an initiative under the IAB organization. It is created\u00a0for training and education on all aspects<\/strong> of movement disorders.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n IAB Academy is based on accredited training courses<\/strong>, in which the prescribed CME\u00a0points of the respective medical associations and registering professional nurses (RbP\u00a9<\/sup><\/a>) can be purchased. Moreover, IAB Academy is certified by Weiterbilung\u00a0Hamburg e.V.\u00a9<\/sup><\/a>.<\/p>\n We offer 12 further training modules (WbB)<\/strong><\/a> developed in an cooperation project with “Netz3L – Hamburg ist!” The aim was to ensure quality, comparability and transparency in training and further education. This project was funded by the European Social Fund ESF and the City of Hamburg. The modules include the interdisciplinary therapy of neurological movement disorders, dystonia, parkinson’s diseae and spastic conditions in each three levels (basic module, superior module, instructor module).<\/p>\n IAB Academy offers beside individual training events a patented training<\/strong> to become IAB Specialist in Movement Disorders<\/b>\u00a0(SMD-IAB)<\/strong><\/a>. It can be carried vocational and training concomitantly.<\/p>\n The courses are conducted by a professional multidisciplinary team in terms of interdisciplinarity.<\/p>\n
