Professor Dirk Dressler, Head of Movement Disorders Section, Department of Neurology, Hannover Medical School, Hannover, Germany, was elected as member of the executive committee of the International Association of Parkinsonism and Related Disorders (IAPRD) during its 21st World Congress in Milano.
IAPRD is the world’s second largest medical movement disorders society. Apart from organising the large international biannual meetings IAPRD focusses on global teaching and training programs. ‘We have presented our concept of movement disorders this year in Uzbekistan. Next year we are planning to present it in Iran,’ explains Professor Dressler.
Professor Dressler was elected IAPRD full member a few years ago before he is now taking over his new role.
